Aloha from Hawaii! Like many of you reading this review, I was hesitant about the ability for a bolt on product to increase power AND mileage. I had monitored mileage from the time I bought the truck (07 Silverado Classic Extended Cab with 5.3 motor) and noticed a definite increase in mileage! Although I don't have any dyno results to show for it, the motor pulls harder and longer. Overtaking slower traffic while going uphill is effortless! Just have to remember not to keep the go-pedal punched too long or the increased mileage will run away from you! All in all, an awesome product at a great price with long term benefits! I highly recommend it and hope this review helps!

Received the K&N Gen II for my 05 Chevy Silverado. The packing was great and looks as if everything is there except I did not receive a packing slip with receipt nor did I receive any installation instructions which is slightly important. Good job guys on the shipping and packing but make sure you include instructions as even though fairly apt to figure it out I would like the instructions to confirm installation is correct

Assuming that you have a reasonable knowledge of mechanics/etc, this thing is a snap to install. Took about 5 minutes. Gives the truck a decently aggressive sound compared to stock. I cannot attest to the mpg increase as I didn't do any testing beforehand but my 2006 silverado 5.3 (4x4) with 90k on the clock still gets over 15 mpg in the city.
